An encounter in Korea.
A drink I picked up on a business trip to Korea was the beginning.

A drink I picked up on a business trip to Korea was the beginning.
I wanted to keep drinking it, but found the bitterness difficult. That experience sparked an idea.
I am working towards a product I can feel good about and want to keep enjoying myself.
Around the time I began paying more attention to my health and the changes that come with age, I picked up a ginseng drink at a convenience store during a business trip to Korea. The experience stayed with me. I wanted to learn more about ginseng and explore making it part of everyday life.
At the airport on my way home, I bought a product from a major brand. I was interested and wanted to continue, but the bitterness made regular drinking difficult for me.
An interest in ginseng was not enough when the taste became a barrier. That personal experience led me to explore a convenient product I could enjoy without forcing myself.
Drawing on more than 30 years of doing business with China and the relationships built along the way, I am now developing a product using ginseng from Jilin Province. I am checking ingredient quality and exploring flavours and ways of drinking that suit Japanese preferences.
I want to share a drink I would choose to keep enjoying myself. That is what drives my work towards bringing it to market.
Having found bitterness a barrier myself, I put drinkability first. Through tasting and refinement, I am looking for a flavour I would want to keep enjoying.
We are considering serving sizes and ways of drinking that fit even busy days. The aim is a product that settles naturally into everyday life.
We plan to use ginseng from Jilin Province. Through conversations with producers, we will check the ingredients, processing methods and test information.
Jilin Province, particularly the Changbai Mountain region, is a major ginseng-producing area. Its concentration of cultivation and processing businesses made it a promising place to explore ingredients.
I draw on my years of business experience with China to discuss and check ingredients with local partners.
Beyond origin, we will check cultivation, processing and test information to develop a product people can choose with confidence. We will share information as it is confirmed.
